Before your first visit
Six small things that help.
Ask for a visit
Use the form or call. Sade will find a time that works with school and the weather.
Forms on the portal
Health history goes on our private patient portal, not by email or in the contact form.
Open the portalWhat to bring
Something to hold from home, your insurance card if you have one and a list of any medicines.
Plan for winter
Dress your child in layers and leave time to warm up the car. If the roads are bad, call and we will move the visit.
Tell your child the truth
Short, true words: we count teeth, look with a mirror and brush them.
Tell us what worries you
About your child or about you. Say it at the door and we will talk first.
A week before: play dentist
Children learn a visit by playing it.
Let your child look in a mirror and count their own teeth. Take turns being the patient, with a spoon for a mirror and a stuffed animal in the chair. Read a book about a dentist. Keep it light, and stop when your child is done.
