How fees work
Here is how paying works, in the order most parents ask.
Insurance we work with
We are in network with many dental plan types and out of network with others. When we are not, we file the claim for you. Sade tells you where your child's plan stands when you call.
Most PPO plans: in network
Plans we are not in network with: we file the claim
Medicaid and CHIP: accepted for children
Dental HMO plans: call us before the visit
If you pay yourself
If your child has no dental plan, you get a written estimate before treatment. You can pay at the visit, or ask Sade about options. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

Receipts for reimbursement
After each visit you get an itemized statement. Send it to a plan that reimburses you, or keep it for your records. The plan decides what it pays.

An estimate in advance
You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you are paying without insurance, we give you a written estimate in advance, when you book or whenever you ask. Sedation is a separate line on it.

Checking your benefits
Sade checks your child's dental benefits before the first visit and calls you with what she finds. Some plans want approval first, and she asks for it. You are welcome to call your plan too.

What the first visit includes
About 30 to 45 minutes: a talk, a look at your child's teeth and gums by Dr. Yates, and X-rays only if needed. You leave with what she saw and a written plan if anything needs treatment. Health history goes on the patient portal.

Questions about a fee?
Ask before you come. Sade can walk you through your child's benefits or your estimate by phone.
